BINTULU (March 20): The new road connecting the Bamboo Garden and the Happy Garden here has completed and is now open for use, announced Tanjong Batu assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming.
“No need for long detours; there is now a direct route that is faster and more convenient,” he said.
On Tuesday, Pang and his team visited the location to inspect the condition of the road.
“Overall, I am satisfied with the project.
“However, there are minor issues on the road shoulders, to which I will be contacting the relevant authority and contractor to ensure immediate repairs are carried out,” he said.
According to Pang, this road was built in response to strong local demand, aiming to improve connectivity and reduce congestion.
He added the 105-metre-long project was funded under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) and managed by the Bintulu Development Authority.
“We hope this new road makes daily commutes smoother and more comfortable for everyone,” he said.
